The Glaze is Lava
A short 5-6 hour mini-course focused on silicon-carbide (SiC) lava/crater glazes. It’s designed for makers who already know basic glaze chemistry and condenses insights from 1,000+ tests into what variables to tweak and how to troubleshoot (best around cone 5-8, non-functional surfaces), with lifetime access and a troubleshooting/Q&A component.
Levels: intermediate, advanced
Dates: available February 15th
Textures in Ceramics
A comprehensive online course on ceramic textures.
Part I. Experimenting with clays/natural materials (slips, rocks, sand, combustibles, metal, etc.)
Part II. A glaze section that covers the basics of glaze mixing and calculation with a focus on textured glazes.
Levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced
Dates: the next session begins on March 8th

It’s aimed at intermediate and adventurous beginners who already know basic glazing and want new ideas for expressive, “wild” surfaces.
